June 2012 Meeting

Tonight was the night that all that were participating in the quilt challenge we to have brought our blocks. We had our regular show and tell and there were a few items to look at.

I think it was Mary that brought this little dress that she embellished. Really cute!

Viola brought her Jacob's Ladder blocks. Becky seems to like it. Nice haircut Becky!

Lillian brought her latest bed size quilt. I don't know where she finds the time. She did the quilting of this on her own machine.

Here is a detail from Lillian's quilt. It appears to be appliqued but it is actually pieces. She counted the leaves and there are over 300 of them and 49 flowers. It's a beautiful quilt. 

The Challenge

This is the fabric we were all given a fat quarter of. We were to make a quilt not larger than 36". Any thing goes.

PS. The show is fun to watch and very informative. I have watched it several times.
