October 2012 Meeting

The October is a wonderful month for quilters. The weather starts to get colder and we start wanting to pull covers over our legs at night and it's a good a time as any to start new Projects! Or at least I did. Ann Bower demonstrated for us how to do a twisted nine patch or disappearing nine patch.
Connie showed us her prize winning quilt that placed both at the Green County Fair and the District Fair in Craighead County.
Cindy showed us her new present quilt that she is working on.
She is also working on this gorgeous elephant applique quilt.
Patsy brought her own disappearing nine patch quilt.
Wanda has been working on the border for her Quilt of Valor.
Here's Ann and Becky with the one of the first of the examples that Ann brought for her demonstration.

Ann showed us how she took a finished ordinary nine patch quilt block
and cut it thru the middle both up and down and from side to side.
Then she spun the blocks to make a new arrangement.
